This is a short film based on a synthesis of 77 qualitative studies exploring the experience of over a thousand adults with chronic musculoskeletal pain.

The script is drawn from peoples’ own words about what it is like to live with chronic pain and is performed by an actor.

The Pain Medicine Division of Texas Children’s Hospital Department of Pediatric Anesthesiology offers multidisciplinary, comprehensive pain treatment services for patients hospital-wide with a diverse range of pain concerns.

Along with other supports, pharmacological intervention for pain is managed by our pediatric pain physicians. Physicians gather a comprehensive pain history, perform thorough physical examinations, and alongside the rest of the pain medicine team, develop individualized management plans that may include medications, medical acupuncture, and/or medical procedures.

· Medical self-hypnosis
· School coordination, accommodations, and reintegration
