Leg pains and cramps are usually common 4 weeks after caesarian section. The various reasons can be during pregnancy there is loosening of hip joints and ligaments affecting the legs, knees and back but after delivery the body has to come back to normal and this may be painful. So take regular calcium, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12 , iron. Sleep properly, do gentle exercises, stretching exercises, yoga, pranayama, drink plenty of water if possible attend the post natal exercise class. Avoid wearing high heels. Avoid carrying heavy weight. Expose yourself to adequate sunlight for the daily sunshine Vitamin D. rule out other causes by taking a visit to your obstetrician who may also take the help of orthopedician or neurologist to rule out other causes like deep vein thrombosis, hematoma in the epidural site region, sciatica, that is the disk compression, presence of any minor fractures, varicose veins.
