2. Aches and pain:

Acetaminophen or paracetamol and Ibuprofen that we mentioned before can also treat aches and pain. Besides that, codeine is also used to treat ache and pain. Codeine may cause drowziness and constipation. So while you are taking this, you would need to drink more water and increase fiber intake and if you feel drowzy, do not drive or operate machinaries.

Now, in the next episode, we are going to talk about sore throat treatments.

You suddenly have a cough. Do you have omicron, a cold or the flu?

With the rise of omicron cases nationwide, many want to know how to tell the difference between symptoms of COVID-19 and that of a common cold or flu.

“As we know, this virus is highly, highly contagious – much more than the previous variants,” said Dr. Hai Shao, infectious disease physician with Sharp Chula Vista.

He mentioned that omicron symptoms are similar to previous COVID variants.

“They include fever, chills, headache, sore throat, and as it progresses, people will start having cough, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing,” said Dr. Shao.

He pointed out that while many symptoms are similar between COVID-19 and a common cold or flu, there are certain symptoms exclusive to COVID.

If you have hip pain on the outside part of your hip and want to put a stop to that pain, you’ve come to the right place!

In this video I’m going to show you 4 of the most effective stretching and strengthening exercises to alleviate lateral hip pain.

WHAT IS THE PAIN ON MY LATERAL HIP?

In most instances, pain in this area is caused by a condition known as “hip bursitis”. A “bursa” is a small, fluid-filled sack that adds lubrication and decreases friction in the muscles that control the hip; the suffix “itis” on the end means inflammation.

The second most-common cause would be a tendonitis in one of the tendons that acts on the hip in this area.

HOW TO TREAT LATERAL HIP PAIN

In the case of both bursitis and tendonitis – this inflammation is most often caused by tightness in the structures and and weakness in the muscles surrounding your hip. The best way to treat those deficiencies is with the right stretches and exercises to relieve tension and increase strength.

That’s exactly what you get in this video! We’ll start with 4 great stretches for your hips, we’ll follow it up with 4 great strengthening exercises, and by the end of it – I know you’ll be feeling a lot better.

Many of the women who come to me they come around the 21st week of pregnancy with a lot of pain in one side of the Hip or the pubic bone. They unable to sit they had pain under the tail bone and unable to turn around the bed or getup from the bed. So the common symptoms of pelvic flow dysfunction are your pelvic is not equal or it distroted, maintaining a very bright posture which could be straight body spine, and maintaining your naval in the center, draw your naval in so that your posture is all form and strong.

Transcription:

Dyspareunia is pain with intercourse or pain post intercourse. Pain with intercourse itself can have a strong emotional impact. Quite often, it can lead to avoidance of intercourse with your partner. It can lead to relationship issues with your partner. It can lead to a fear of intercourse and this fear can lead to something we call Vaginismus. When patients are in fear of intercourse, the muscles surrounding the vaginal opening can clamp down, so to speak. It can also lead to emotional distress, anxiety, as well as sleep disturbances, all secondary to the pain with intercourse. We do always ask, is it more of a superficial burning sensation? Which can often be associated with entrance pain or Vulvodynia symptoms, and at that point, it’s important to evaluate any underlying hormonal cause or underlying infection such as a yeast infection. Or is it more of a deep, penetrating pain? The pelvic floor muscles are important in evaluating and treating as well as any underlying organ disorders potentially within the female system such as ovarian cyst or a fibroid.

Sex After Joint Replacement Surgery is a topic that makes people uncomfortable, but it’s a important to talk about. You can expect a period of time after surgery where you’re not going to be physically able to have sex. After this period, there’s going to be a period where you can but you just have to be cautious. Use a common sense approach with sexual activity.

There’s also a difference between positions for hips and knees. For hips, there’s a few differences. First, depending on the approach your surgeon used, there are different precautions. Whether your surgery was done from the front or the back, will dictate which positions are safe and which positions are unsafe. There’s a lot of literature and articles about what you can and cannot do after surgery and as you recovery.

In terms of knees, the biggest issue is anterior knee pain and range of motion. Often times in the first few weeks after surgery we’re focused on increasing range of motion. Certain positions could potentially flex your knee to the point where it causes discomfort. Three to four weeks after surgery or when you’re able to walk on your own and your pain is controlled off narcotics, is a good time to start experiementing.
